Description

Fully Self-Contained TRAD-2001 Doctors Cart: Onboard Air and Suction

This is the Flight A-Series doctors cart built on the TRAD-2001 delivery unit. The TRAD-2001 provides U-shaped frame carrying the delivery system on four dual casters, a large tray table sized for instruments and cassettes, and an air-driven pneumatic system with individual air and water control for each handpiece and the syringe. Like every A-Series cart it carries five delivery slots: three handpiece tubings, the 3-way syringe, and a fifth slot for an optional ultrasonic or piezo scaler. This configuration adds a 1 HP compressor with a 2.0 gallon aluminium tank and an HVE Air Venturi system with bottle system, with SE available in place of HVE, so the cart needs nothing from the building but a power outlet.

Key Features and Benefits

  • TRAD-2001 delivery unit: U-shaped frame, large tray table, individual air and water control per handpiece and syringe
  • Five delivery slots: 3 handpiece tubings, 3-way syringe, and a fifth slot for an optional ultrasonic or piezo scaler
  • Mobile castored chassis, no plumbing to the chair or wall
  • 1 HP compressor with 2.0 gallon aluminium tank
  • An hve air venturi system with bottle system, with se available in place of hve
  • Junction box supplied

Clinical and Workflow Advantages

  • Needs only a power outlet. A satellite room, a leased suite, a hygiene bay or a room added after the original build can be brought into service without a contractor.
  • The fifth slot means an ultrasonic or piezo scaler can be added later without changing the cart.
  • At $3,118.95 this sits in the middle of the A-Series range, so the decision is what the room supplies rather than what the cart can do.

Where This Configuration Fits

The A-Series is offered on two delivery units, the TRAD-2001 and the TRAD-2002, each available as a base cart or with a compressor, a vacuum package, or both. This one is the TRAD-2001 with compressor and vacuum, the fully self-contained option. Work out what the operatory supplies first; that decides the configuration more than anything else does.

FAQs

Flight A-Series Doctors Cart with TRAD-2001 Delivery Unit, Integrated Compressor and Air Venturi Vacuum

Q: What does the TRAD-2001 delivery unit give me?

A: The TRAD-2001 provides U-shaped frame carrying the delivery system on four dual casters, a large tray table sized for instruments and cassettes, and an air-driven pneumatic system with individual air and water control for each handpiece and the syringe. It carries five delivery slots in total: three handpiece tubings, the 3-way syringe, and a fifth for an optional ultrasonic or piezo scaler.

Q: How many delivery slots does this cart have?

A: Five. Three are handpiece tubings and one is the 3-way syringe, leaving a fifth slot open for an optional ultrasonic or piezo scaler. Both A-Series delivery units carry five slots.

Q: What does my operatory need to supply?

A: Only a power outlet. This configuration carries its own compressor and its own suction, so no air or vacuum line has to be run to the room.

Q: Why is this cart $3,118.95 rather than the price of another A-Series configuration?

A: Price across the range tracks what is built in. This adds the onboard compressor and onboard Air Venturi suction.

Q: Does it include working instruments?

A: No. It supplies the cart, delivery unit, 3-way syringe and three handpiece tubings. If you want the instruments included, the fully loaded configurations are MC-1300FCP and MC-1300FCP-VAC.

Q: Can I add an ultrasonic or piezo scaler later?

A: Yes. The fifth delivery slot exists for exactly that and is left open on this configuration.

Q: What is the difference between the TRAD-2001 and the TRAD-2002 delivery units?

A: They are two delivery unit models offered on the same A-Series chassis, and both carry five slots. Flight documents different attributes for each: the TRAD-2001 with a U-shaped frame, a large tray table and individual air and water control for each handpiece and the syringe; the TRAD-2002 with air coolant flow control and a self-contained water system with a city/bottle water selector. Neither Flight nor we publish a direct feature-by-feature comparison of the two, so call us on the specifics before you decide.

Q: Can the cart move between operatories?

A: Yes, on dual casters. Because this configuration is fully self-contained it can move to any room with a power outlet.

Q: What is an Air Venturi vacuum system?

A: It generates suction by passing compressed air through a venturi rather than drawing from a central vacuum pump. On this cart the onboard compressor supplies that air, which is what makes the whole unit self-contained.

Q: Is this cart suitable for hygiene or veterinary use?

A: Yes. Flight positions the A-Series for dental, hygiene and veterinary operatories, and the open fifth slot makes it straightforward to add a scaler for hygiene work.
