The Eighteeth E-Connect S is a professional-grade cordless endodontic motor that integrates a precision brushless motor with a multi-frequency apex locator in a single ergonomic handpiece. It streamlines root canal treatment by combining canal preparation and working-length measurement — simultaneously or independently — without the need for a separate apex locator unit.

Built on a brushless induction motor platform, the E-Connect S delivers smooth, low-vibration performance across a 100–1,000 RPM range with torque adjustable from 0.5 to 4.0 Ncm. The 360° rotatable ECAN mini contra angle provides unobstructed access to all quadrants, while the OLED display rotates for comfortable left- or right-hand use. Eleven memory presets (M0–M10) come pre-loaded with 30 of the most common rotary file system settings and can be fully customized or upgraded via USB.

The integrated safety system — Auto Start & Stop, Apical Slow Down, and Apical Reverse — works in real time to protect the cemento-dentinal junction, reduce procedural errors, and minimize the risk of file separation. A visualized apex bar chart with zoom function provides clear, real-time feedback on file-tip position throughout the procedure.

Working Modes

• FWD — Forward Rotation Continuous clockwise rotation for standard canal preparation with most NiTi rotary file systems.
• REV — Reverse Rotation Continuous counter-clockwise rotation for file systems that specify CCW motion.
• REC — Reciprocation Adjustable forward and reverse angles from 30° to 370°. Five sub-mode configurations allow fine-tuned reciprocation to match specific file system protocols.
• ATC — Adaptive Torque Control When the preset torque limit is reached, the motor automatically reciprocates to relieve file stress rather than going straight into reverse. Once stress is reduced, the motor returns to continuous forward rotation. This extends file life and improves canal enlargement efficiency.
