Description

Carrier-Free DBM Putty With Osteoinductive Potential

Bioviva DBM Putty is 100% demineralized bone matrix in a ready-to-use syringe. Demineralization exposes the bone morphogenetic proteins locked in the mineral phase, which is what gives DBM its osteoinductive potential — a different mechanism from the purely osteoconductive scaffold that mineralized allograft provides.

It is carrier-free. Most DBM putties on the market suspend the matrix in glycerol, hyaluronate, or a similar vehicle; this one does not, so what enters the defect is graft rather than carrier. It is also formulated to resist irrigation, which is the failure mode that costs you material in an open field.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Osteoinductive potential: Demineralization exposes native bone morphogenetic proteins.
  • 100% moldable DBM, carrier-free: No glycerol or synthetic vehicle diluting the graft.
  • Irrigation resistant: Stays where it is placed rather than washing out of an open field.
  • Ready-to-use syringe: Direct delivery into the defect, no mixing or hydration.
  • 250–1000 micron grind: Consistent particle distribution throughout the putty.
  • Room temperature storage: No refrigeration or freezer required.

Clinical Applications

  • Extraction socket and ridge preservation
  • Periodontal intrabony and furcation defects
  • Implant site development
  • Sinus augmentation, alone or combined with mineralized graft
  • Peri-implant defect repair
  • Irregular defects where a moldable material adapts better than particulate

Tissue Sourcing and Safety

  • Donors screened and selected under documented donor verification and collection protocols
  • Processed by an FDA-registered, AATB-accredited tissue bank
  • Gamma irradiated and sterile packaged
  • Validated cleaning and quality assurance procedures for tissue cleanliness
  • 100% bone — no synthetic extenders or carriers
  • Five-year shelf life from date of processing

Why Choose Bioviva DBM Putty

DBM putty is where the premium brands price most aggressively — Puros, MinerOss, DynaBlast and OraGRAFT all command a significant premium in this category. Bioviva is processed under the same AATB accreditation framework.

The carrier-free formulation is the genuine technical differentiator. Carrier-based putties are easier to manufacture, but the carrier occupies volume in the defect that is not graft. Room-temperature stability also removes the cold-chain handling that some competing DBM products require.

What's Included

  • One (1) sterile 0.7cc syringe of Bioviva DBM Putty
  • Lot documentation and tissue tracking information

Warranty and Support

Supplied sterile and single-use. Human tissue allografts are regulated by the FDA as HCT/Ps under 21 CFR Part 1271 and are not returnable once the sterile package is opened. DentalMarketplace coordinates fulfillment, documentation, and support.
