Description
Three Handpieces Cleaned and Lubricated Automatically, One Touch
The Flight Automatic Handpiece Maintenance System is a fully automatic unit that cleans and lubricates three handpieces per cycle. Two attachment configurations are available: the HPL-3001 with two high speed connections and one low speed, and the HPL-3002 with one high speed and two low speed. Load the handpieces, press one button, and the maintenance happens the same way every time - which is the part manual lubrication never manages once the schedule tightens.
Key Features and Benefits
- Two configurations - HPL-3001 (2 high speed, 1 low speed) or HPL-3002 (1 high speed, 2 low speed)
- 4-hole high speed and E-type low speed connections
- Pairs with KaVo, NSK, Star, Midwest, Sirona and other quick couplers
- Three programmed cycles - short, long and extra long, for slow and high speed handpieces
- One touch control panel - nothing to configure per use
- Easy fill reservoir with side level indicator - refill before it runs dry
- Mess-free oil sponge - contains the residue manual lubrication leaves behind
- Detachable door - the unit itself can be cleaned
- Compressed air input - runs off the supply already in the practice
Clinical and Workflow Advantages
Handpiece bearings fail from inconsistent lubrication, and inconsistency is what hand maintenance produces: different staff, different technique, skipped entirely on a heavy day. An automatic cycle removes the variable. The financial case is straightforward - a single handpiece rebuild costs more than the oil this unit will use in a year, and a practice running six to ten handpieces replaces them on a schedule set almost entirely by how well they were lubricated.
Why Choose the Flight Maintenance System
Three connections rather than one puts the whole rotation through in a single cycle, and offering two attachment splits means the unit matches the practice rather than the other way round - restorative-heavy offices take the HPL-3001, hygiene-heavy offices the HPL-3002. Coupler compatibility across the major brands means it works with the handpieces already in service. DentalMarketplace is an authorized US dealer for Flight Dental Systems.

FAQs
FAQs
Flight Automatic Handpiece Maintenance System
Q: What is the difference between the HPL-3001 and HPL-3002?
A: Attachment configuration. The HPL-3001 carries two high speed connections and one low speed; the HPL-3002 reverses that - one high speed and two low speed. The unit is otherwise the same, so choose on the mix of handpieces you actually run.
Q: Which one should I order?
A: Count your rotation. A restorative-heavy practice turning over more high speed handpieces wants the HPL-3001; a hygiene-heavy practice running more slow speed motors and contra angles is better served by the HPL-3002.
Q: How many handpieces per cycle?
A: Three either way - the split between high and low speed is what changes.
Q: Will it fit my couplers?
A: The 4-hole high speed connections pair with KaVo, NSK, Star, Midwest, Sirona and other manufacturers' quick couplers. The low speed connection is E-type.
Q: What cycles does it run?
A: Three programmed cycles - short, long and extra long - covering the requirements of both slow and high speed handpieces. One touch selects the cycle.
Q: Why lubricate automatically rather than by hand?
A: Consistency. Hand lubrication varies with whoever does it and gets skipped when the schedule is tight. Bearings fail from under-lubrication, and a single handpiece rebuild costs more than a year of oil.
Q: Does it make a mess?
A: The oil sponge contains the residue, and the door detaches so the unit itself can be cleaned - which is the difference from oil spray over a sterilization counter.
Q: How do I know when to refill?
A: A clear level indicator runs down the side of the unit, and the reservoir is designed for easy filling.
Q: Does it need special installation?
A: Compressed air input with an easy connection. It runs off the air supply the practice already has.
Q: Should it run before or after sterilization?
A: Before. Handpieces are cleaned and lubricated first, then sterilized.
Q: Is it suitable for veterinary use?
A: Yes - Flight positions it for dental and veterinary practices alike.
Q: What warranty applies?
A: One year, through DentalMarketplace as an authorized US dealer.
